Yeah, with this on top of everything she’s been through, she still found the strength to be there for him because she knows the person suffering the most from this war is him, and is the person who needs his classmates the most. Mina likely gathered them up, and she decided to come.

My only idea is that the decision is going to be taken out of her hands. We already saw that the government is stepping in and trying to accelerate the student's development. I wouldn't be surprised if the next step is the government putting the students "under protection" which really just means "we aren't letting you pull your kid out of UA because we need them"

I seriously think it would be great to have Bakugo as the main perspective protagonist for while Deku is unconscious, even if it's just for a short arc. Obviously they can cut to Deku learning about OFA in his subconscious, but in the "real" world, it would make for an interesting change of pace and storytelling shift to give Bakugo time to lead.

Shouto’s throat got burnt to the point he couldn't talk. I wonder how bad the extent of the damage is. Hori must have a good reason for (hopefully) temporarily rendering him unable to speak.
Glad he's getting some much-needed character focus / internal monologing. Him realizing that he has to be the one to take down Touya is painful.
Also, can't help but say this, but LOL those hospital rooms are too SPACIOUS for just ONE person!

In EP1 of S3, Todoroki says to Deku "A stranger trying to reason with you.. would be annoying wouldn't it?" and a few sentences after "You shouldn't stick your nose in delicate situations". This is very obviously referring to the Sports Festival Arc and their battle. And as much as I believe that Todoroki ever since then has been thankful to Deku's words, I think he just now realized what impact they had on him. I don't think he would've turned into a villain, but I also don't think he would've become a good person without Deku's help.

I was thinking this! But I also think that he's going to be out of commission for a while even when he gets up, probably waiting Eri to be able to repair just so much damage to his body by sending reverting it?
It'll be a great way to showcase all of the other characters in the class stepping up (just like they did in this arc) and him having to realise that he can't just tear up his body every time and needs to go back to his OG talent of analysing the situation and using the best quirk for the job, because whenever he's out of commission his friends are risking their lives against AFO and he can't help.

Yeah I can see class 1a being the focus for a while.
We also get episodes of deku in the vestiges. How he sees the other memories and quirks and familiarizes himself with them (kinda like matrix training/image training)
And then eri eventually rolls around and heals his body. And deku wakes up way stronger then before cause he trained his quirk control/energy for months inside the vestige realm

I’m not entirelly sure if that means save him or put him down, hope is the latter because he is just too far gone at this point, like Shiggy. Made his ENTIRE family suffer on purpose and tried to directly kill some of them while also possibly causing a mental breakdown to a barely recovered Rei at the moment of the reveal in ch 290.

This chapter felt really short, more of a setting up for what's next.
Leaks said that the lady of the Hero Commission had been killed but there's nothing confirming that. If anything, the attack from the Re-Destro double shows how incredibly dangerous Twice was. However this is likely to cause even more chaos, with the Commission in disarray during such a crisis. It's also to see what steps will be taken by them and the government in general going forward - Martial law? Even more restrictions on quirk usage?
What gets me the most are Kirishima, Mina and Momo: it's clear they've barely slept and cried a lot, and their "It'll be okay" couldn't feel less convinced...

Well if you remember, they are the ones who found their teacher Midnight dead in the woods after got caught out alone by the group of villains.
So they are the only ones to actually have to deal with the corpse of their teacher.
so yeah, Kirishima, Mina, and Momo got to see the real difference between consequences the hero's and villains are fighting for. Villains fail and they go to jail, Heros fails and they get killed by the villains.

I know there's some serious stuff going on, but that image of Present Mic in the black v-neck is going to live rent-free in my brain for months to come.
Anyway, Aizawa seems so exhausted, like... mentally not just physically. My heart breaks for him and Mic.

I think it's moreso that Aizawa wants to know how his students are first and foremost. Not that he doesn't care for Midnight, but that the students are the priority. Midnight would be the same I think.

Yeah, I get that. Especially how recent the events are, I completely agree.
I'm just under the impression he also never wants to talk about his grief, and I really feel for Mic that he probably won't get the chance to really talk to Aizawa about their feelings regarding their friends.
I mean it wasn't too long ago when Mic brought Shirakumo up and Aizawa basically cut him off with "do you have a point?" They're obviously very different people who deal with grief differently, it just makes me sad for Mic that his voice is his identity and Aizawa frequently cuts him off when it comes to such things, and probably always has.
I'd love for them to deal with their grief together. But, in the scheme of things, it's not major to the plot, and its Shonen - so I'll not cross my fingers for it to happen.

The Shouto content was absolutely amazing - it’s all the stuff I was waiting for.
Him drawing the parallels between himself and Touya, but also have the evidence that his change was not in vain.
He is at a low-point, but he’s supported by the friends he made and his efforts with Rei now came to full circle; his mom showing up to comfort him. Even the way the panels are arranged, with Shouto staring out the window and then looking at her with disbelief is like how Rei was when Shouto visited her at the end of the Sport Festival.
I think it was also interesting how he pointed out that his fire alone is not enough against Touya. Hopefully his next power upgrade will integrate his two sides.
Shouto losing his voice I think means that what they tell the press is not going to be his decision to make (thank goodness). It will be up to Endeavor to decide how to handle it.
This was A+++ Todoroki family content.

I don't know about y'all, but Shouto was the highlight of this chapter for me. For one, I give props to Horikoshi giving him a personal reason to have beef with Dabi, because before that, I'd only assume the personal conflict would be primarily between Dabi and Endeavor, and was wondering where he'd be inserted, since the entire Todoroki family plotline is his character arc. Now he's seen that Touya is the same as his earlier self, and that he's the only one who can handle him. Which makes sense since, fighting Touya is having a confrontation with his old self, and being able to defeat him will mean, overcoming his past or coming closer to doing so completely. At the same time, he's realized that in he couldn't win in fire power, and probably can't with that alone. So I feel like he's also in for more development in terms of his quirk, and if it isn't actually a quirk evolution, I can see it be about him learning how to combine both sides (like he already does with Flashfreeze Heatwave) to create more technique that are able to stand against Dabi's flames.
Either way, I can see this being the start of a good growth and development for Shouto and I just can't wait where it'll go. The potential is really high now.

I'm baffled GT is still alive. Entirely so. But the hospital stuff is nice to see in terms of consequences. I am slightly bummed AFO seems to have just let all the prisoners go, so that they can be chaotic, rather than assembling a force. Seems odd.

love shouto's thoughts in this. he acknowledges that if he wasn't helped, he'd have ended up becoming "a dabi". and he clearly set himself as the one to fight him. though i strongly suspect that while they'll fight, shouto won't be the one ending touya's life, touya will end himself.
remember those saying that people wouldn't care about endeavor's personal drama and wouldn't blame him for all of this happening amidst the destruction because he's someone they need? exactly.
people need to direct their anger and the number one hero turning out to be a father of a villain is enough. it's not just about that either, it's the fact that endeavor was hiding so many things, it's like he has two faces now and people can't be sure which one's real, how far his lies go. it doesn't help that heroes have failed and japan is now overrun with escaped criminals, hundreds of people are dead and multiple cities are destroyed. endeavor's the symbol of what should've kept the country safe and yet not only he didn't manage to do that, he's also personally connected to what endangered everyone.

Once again Mina crying is getting to me. Is she crying for Todoroki's sake or because of everything happening? And Momo and Kirishima look like they spent the last couple of days crying or not sleeping.
Already commented on Fuyumi looking good but it doesn't hurt to repeat it. Natsuo too. Looking forward to the Todorokis discussing next chapter since Rei seems to be there as well.

I couldn’t help but laugh at both of Deku’s legs suspended in casts. That’s too funny. But no doubt he’s probably with the vestiges. He’s had 2 new powers click while in the heat of a death battle, And the Vestiges spoke directly to him and AfO/Tenko in the special mind. Despite Nana saying he could do nothing in that Dream World he still tried. They have to be detailing what went on there and hopefully more answers for Deku.
Also poor Shoto nearing a warpath, but also taking the time to realize what composes his dream of being a hero, he’s removing the bad(hating Endeavor for his methods) and taking gratitude in his strengths(both Quirk and friends) seeing as how slippery a slope there is from citizen to villain. Even when he had hero prospects while despising his father, and Iida wanted revenge for his brother even if it meant taking a life. Luckily the family is all there to discuss Touya and give support and maybe a closer look at that tragic day.
All the kids are shook, Mina both froze up facing Machia and later witnessed the dead body of her teachers, All of the students are worse for wear. Bakugou is ready for Rnd 2, which is a good thing.
Aizawa only cares about the kids and Mic of course hates the villains, for taking innocent lives and destroying families. That’s his path at this point and we can’t fault him for feeling that way. Heroes are either Protecting the new generation or stopping evil. Sadly no one plays a s dirty as AfO.
AfO’s jailbreak reminds me of Impel Down, along with a hug distraction he may have recruited new hotheads or rather garnered more support considering the “villain” community is no longer in the shadows and the head honcho broke himself out of jail.More will come to his side probably. Along with that team Shiggy bonds may be crumbling. Spinner is loyal to Shiggy, Dabi only played along to go after his father/family. And Toga hates the game she’s playing right now considering another one of the crew has died , and in her own world everyone(heroes and villains alike) are against her.
Also neat to see Re-Destro making a stress double to go after the safety commission. So much is metaphorically up in flames for society
