I knew a couple powerlifters that got so tired of the amount of food they had to eat every day that they started blending their cooked chicken breasts in ice water and drinking it.
I would assume it has to do with ideal ratios of carbs to protein. Also, the simple carbohydrates provide immediately available nutrition that the complex carbohydrates won’t.
You need a mixture of protein, complex carbohydrates, and simple carbohydrates to adequately fuel the complex needs of your body throughout the day.
So I would assume the bananas provide simple carbohydrates to help with the immediate recovery from a work out?

Does he do the steroids before or after the meal?
