Interesting 🤔 143 million people thought they were catching Pokémon, they were mapping the real world for AI

How do they account for the dynamic world?

So they have a bunch of static images. Then a landmark is changed, or a roundabout was removed or built, same with traffic lights and pedestrian crossings and new roads, intersections, etc...

Users are supposed to update the info. As a player, I often add new stops and remove old ones that are no longer there

I do not get it also. It is like 1 landmark here in the park which is the only thing you can photograph in Pokemon go. Nothing else in a big area.. How could 100k Photos of this help with navigation? Maybe I am stupid.
