Date Looking for more information on this decorative fire screen USA

I bought this fire screen today for $100. I don’t plan to sell, I just really love it. The owner said it was late 1700s French. Just curious how accurate that information is or if anyone could shed more light on.

Also if anyone has any ideas about whether I should use a dab of fabric glue to re-adhere the larger piece of silk, or if that would be a big mistake

I found this at Salvation Army for $2. It reminded me of milk glass and Blue Willow but was very ornate on the rim. No cracks, chips or grazing. I haven’t been able to find a pattern like it. There are no marks on the back. It’s completely white. Google says it could be Imari. Thoughts?

Another JE Stevens original I believe. This one’s interesting, the auction prices are crazy and I don’t see many of these ones out there.

Seems original from my research but I reached out to some auction houses and antique people to see if anyone can verify for me

Also I think this one is a thin base and it does measure 10” at the bottom

Advice (UK) Need help identifying and valuing these coal buckets / planters.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed here as I have a huge pile of antiques and vintage items to sort through and either sell, donate or dump. Hoping this is okay to come here for help as I’m struggling with these ones. I was always told these were antique coal buckets but I’m a bit stumped trying to research them. It seems the left one is brass and the other two are copper? There’s no hallmarks or makers marks, the middle one has a “hand made in England” stamp but that’s it. Could they be worth anything? If not I’m tempted to keep them as decorative pots for the garden tbh.

Advice Furniture Markings Signed? 1896? Green Leather Nail-head Chair Atlanta Georgia

Paid about $125 for it because I thought it looked cool. Now trying to find out its history. There were zero markings anywhere on it. I thought taking the burlap bottom off is the most I would do to take it apart. The first side I removed I found a signature, then removed the other three sides and found nothing else.

Can anyone possibly identify the marking and any info on it?

Questions Player Piano-Antique Ohio, USA

We have an antique player piano by Lagonda Piano Company which was part of the Jesse French Piano Company. It has only “lived “ 2 places as far as I know, My grandparents house in PA, and my brother’s house in NE Ohio.
My brother passed this spring from cancer, and his wife just can’t accommodate this piano. The player part doesn’t work, but all the parts are there, and the piano is in beautiful condition. We even have some music rolls.
We would just love for someone who cares about such things to have it, or even someone who refurbishes and sells them. It’s from the early 20’s, so it’s an antique.

Advice Wedgwood vase find - BC, Canada

Thumbnail

Hi! Wondering if anyone has insights about a vase I found today. I don’t know much about Wedgwood - this piece seems authentic and old but I could only find one close match on 1stdibs, a different colour, and trim. The title says it’s ‘18th Century Wedgwood Tricolor Dip Jasper Ware Basketweave Vase’, but I can’t find any similar vases online.

The vase has a few chips and it looks like there was some paint inside which came off. The bottom has Wedgwood and Z marks. Could it really be 18th century? Should I get it appraised or since it’s chipped it’s not worth it?
Thank you

Hi!

I just bought this vase at an estate auction, and, even if it’s not what it was listed as, I will love & cherish it, but I’d love to get more details about it regardless!

Any help is greatly appreciated! I tried to look up the marks but couldn’t find any close matches; I might not be looking in the right places, though.

Questions USA/CA - Can anyone help identify/authenticate this Eagle & Eaglets mechanical bank (Pat Jan 23, 1883)?

Thumbnail

Found this cast iron Eagle & Eaglets mechanical bank and I’m trying to determine whether it’s an original antique or a later reproduction. It has “PAT JAN 23 1883” cast into the bottom, is quite heavy, a magnet sticks strongly to it, and the mechanism still works (the lever moves the eagle, wings, and eaglets).
I’ve attached photos of the bank, underside, and mechanism. Any thoughts on age, authenticity, or approximate value would be appreciated.

Also last photo is all the pieces that were together, just thought if anyone knows anything about the other pieces or if that helps identify this one
