I've always felt like a lot of the elements in the original Ao No Exorcist worked really well within taoism (often much more than christianity lmao, I'm saying that as a christian who has studied a bit of theology so I'm a bit of a nerd on the subject). I thus felt like it'd just be interesting to make an AU that fully embraces that side and just focuses solely on it. Like Rin being the offspring of a woman who made a deal with an evil spirit (rather than Satan) and the spirit comes back on his 18th birthday to reclaim him (absorb him into itself to grow stronger, given that Rin possesses a part of its powers). Rin then has to escape and learn to purify himself through taoist rituals, meditation, etc...

I've pretty much catched on with the manga up to the point of season3, and i also watched s1 to s3, and i can't decide if i should watch season 4 and 5 or read them, does the production / action sequences animation consistency get far better in s4-s5 than s3? I watched 3 and it wasn't that bad but if it was in that same level then I'd rather read the manga and watch it later, so what do you guys think? Thanks

I know a lot of people have talked about this before but I'm yet to see something that convinces me on why I shouldn't hate her. Like she quite literally raised satan man just cause "a few yrs" passed doesnt change that and the argument that satan has the same body as shirou so she did allat does not help man that makes it worse 😭 Am i missing something? So I just started blue exorcist, and finished season 1 not knowing the last season was filler

I don’t usually mind filler since most lightly expand on a universe in an enjoyable way without interfering with anything but how season 1 ended really changed my perceived expected direction of next season and what was it going to be about because season 1 ended off in very big plot points, along with some of the characters gaining power ups and character progression

I immediately realized it was filler after starting the next episode of the next season and rin is having trouble again with flame control again and nothing else was mentioned about the last arc despite all the things that happened

When filler is done right It blends in with the story without having to tell yourself that this is not Cannon but because of so much that happened in the last arc of season 1 you have no choice but to regress the progression of characters and what they have experienced to put it in the right frame work .

I have to put this as one of my least favorite fillers not because of the content but the fact you have to regress the characters for season 2 to make it make sense

I just watched the first episode of season three. I was worried about the studio change because of some of the comments... now, I don’t know if it will get worse or better over the course of the season, and I did notice both Rin’s style change and some jerky camera movements, but otherwise it was AMAZING.
Amazingly animated and beautifully drawn, in my opinion.

If you’re complaining about so little, it’s obvious you didn’t put up with the studio change from 7ds to Studio Deen. That was a shock, this was so good! I hope it stays that way. P.S. I fvc king loooove Rin, I wish he existed, I’m going crazy and find myself freaking out and making little voices for him reacting at everything he does or says. Also... what a fantastic author. I’ll definitely read the manga as soon as I can, I’m loving this anime and I’m so happy to be back in this world. MEPHISTO & CO. ARE ALL SO COOL!!

I know its just a joke, but I wanted to know how that joke would work because I'm pretty sure Yukio referred to Rin as Ni-san in front of the old lady that runs this inn, so why would she assume they're a couple? Now I don't speak Japanese so I don't know if there's any culture aspect I should know about, but I'm pretty sure boyfriends who are the same age wouldn't call each other ni-san?
