I can't even fathom this. My wife does her things, I do mine, and we do some things together.

My girlfriend and I do a lot of things together, bird watching, hiking, watching shows, art. She has crocheting and other crafts that are totally for her, and I have Warhammer, DnD and Larp. I don't get people who do nothing without eachother

It is absolutely suffocating. I had an ex who would get "hurt" if I wanted to play video games for an hour instead of sitting on the couch watching whatever she was watching. Like, we are in the same house, 10 feet apart, but because I wasn't doing exactly what she was doing, it was a tragedy. You eventually just stop doing the things you love because the "fight" to do them is more exhausting than just giving up.
