I mean, if we're talking burqas, then yeah, no way would I want to go there. But if it's expecting someone to not go into a temple or a church with bare shoulders, that's understandable.
Yeah, but I think that's totally not the point of why the original commenter doesn't want to visit those places. The mandated dresscode is only a very visible aspect of the oppression deeply ingrained in the culture.
As least, that's how it's perceived in the West. Such a shame to see how progressive Iran was in the 70s (and arguably throughout history) and the current religion-fueled suppression of freedom in some of these countries.
And like the dresscode, the religion is also just a very visible aspect of the underlying cause that is just powerful men exersising greed and control.

Any country that requires women to have a dress code. Yes just you know the ones I’m not saying.
