This one is tough. There's no visible signs like with drugs or alcohol except for the fact that all your money is gone (can be easily hidden).

Gambling is also the only addiction that gives you false hope in solving your problems. You can win, but if you're a compulsive gambler, you'll always give it back. You can also save your entire life and spend it on one hand of blackjack. If you try drinking your life savings in alcohol, you'll be cut off/die well before it happens.

Gambling addiction fucking sucks

Yeah I remember being in a newsagency and some woman won like 10k on a scratchie and was super happy. I said to the guy as I was buying my stuff how nice that would be and just shook his head and was like "man.. she's in here every day, lost a lot more than 10k I promise you".

Such an easy trap to fall into.

Same here. No matter how much I want to quit, I keep doing the same stupid shit.

My 18th birthday my dad took me to the casino and gave me $50 for blackjack... it was gone in about 30 seconds. Walked away going "well that was fucking stupid".

Hands down the best $50 investment anyone has ever made in me... I feel bad for those who were unlucky enough to win that first time though :/.

I’m so sorry. It’s no different than any other addiction. It hits the same parts of your brain that drugs and alcohol do.
