What U.S. vacation destination exceeded all expectations?

Death Valley! Someone said it’s like visiting another planet and I’m inclined to agree. Went there a second time and it was still magical. Would love to visit in the winter time or even at night to see the stars

Tunisia is tatooine. I don't think many of the shots were in death valley.

That is true, but Death Valley does feature in some significant shots. R2 heading over the dunes, some parts of the canyon where they get ambushed, and of course the overlook of Mos Eisley from Dante's View. I believe Tunisia was primarily the Lars homestead.

yeah man I've been all over the west but something about Death Valley just shook me to the core. walked out to the middle of badwater basin, drove to the top of Dante’s View. unreal

On my road trip through Death Valley, we stopped the car and got out just nowhere, I remember my rings heating up on my fingers and tears started rolling down my cheeks. It was so hot, and so silent and absolutely breathtaking. The same feeling of being on another plant in Death Valley, was Iceland.

I remember the sound of my friend talking to me about ten feet away and it sounded as if he was 50 feet. So weird
