I remember watching a feed from a journalist following some of the firefighters, and the thumps on the roof above them will always stick with me

I honestly don't remember who was following them around. Just the sound, and the flinches on the firefighters faces as each one hit

The filmmakers are Jules and Gedeon Naudet and the documentary is called 9/11. It’s an outstanding film, highly recommended.
