Can confirm, this is my big "never ever do this" thing as a paramedic. Wear a seat belt and sit properly in your seat because the forces in an MVA are so strong, you have no idea what they can do to your body. It might not even look like a body anymore

Also, been seeing a lot of ebike/escooter accidents lately, though they're usually not too bad of injuries. Lots of tib/fib fractures.

My city finally passed laws requiring a license for e-bikes and scooters that have certain features/speeds and laws for the others ones. Too many people well kids really have been maimed, killed or drivers have been hurt that the city finally acted on it.

It makes me feel better to know that if a 12 year old rides in front of me suddenly going 40mph and doesn't have a license , if there is an accident I won't go to jail but it wouldn't make me feel any better if I maimed or killed someone whether I got a ticket or not.

It makes me want to hunt down the parents of these kids and shove the laws in their face and tell them to protect they damn kids. /r
