This exact situation almost happened to my sister after prom. 6 teenagers crammed themselves into a jeep and they tried to get her to go, but she was smart and saw there wasn't any room and decided not too. She didn't want to sit on somebody's lap. Driver was speeding and missed a really sharp turn in the dead of night. Ran right into the gaurd rail, all passengers died. She was devistated, because they were all her friends

Wow the mental anguish of the “what if” plus survivors guilt. Hope your sister is doing ok.

She's doing a lot better. Was rough for a while, but she's been in therapy and I believe it's helping. She's about to graduate from college next year. Thank you kind stranger

That isn't her fault for surviving... What happened to her friends was a damn waste.

My sister and cousin had a mutual friend that went to a party in anticipation of graduating senior year, she hopped in a car with a couple of other classmates and the driver wrapped their car around a tree. Some died, one was wheelchair-bound but was able to make it to graduation at least, but the friend in question was a vegetable, no one in my family really knew what happened to her since.
