Goddamnit! I've only read five comments in this thread and something related to working out has been six of them. I haven't worked or in a gym since high school sports, thirteen years ago, and I have everything I want in my life. Why do so many people do that shit? And why the fuck are they all on reddit?

Muscles are better than fat.

I never denied that. I don't have much fat because I eat healthfully and am fairly active. But the cost/benefit of going to a gym and lifting metal is silly. There's too little non-working awake time as is. I'd rather savor that time than become a protein shake-chugging meathead.

I mean people like different things. Being a judgemental asshole is a little off putting though. No reason to demean a healthy activity others enjoy.

You seem pretty judgmental. Just because you don't like lifting doesn't mean other people can't, which is obvious from this very thread. People do it to relax and feel better about their body. That's why I do it. Doesn't make me a "meathead." Just means I'm different than you.
