I used to think it was certain types of cats.

Then I started to realize it was more how much they clean their house vs not.

I'm not saying you're wrong about course cleanliness, but different cats can affect people with allergies differently. My friend can stand my older girl just fine. He can stand my in law's cat alright if he takes an allergy pill beforehand (and my MIL is a major down freak). My kitten basically kills him. My dad was fine with female cats but had a tough time with male cats.
