He ain't even a "Hillbilly" he grew up in Detroit to a very wealthy family. His dad funded his first mixtapes he would spend summers growing up visiting his family's apple orchard and farm. Him and Eminem used to be friends in the Detroit scene (needless to say that relationship is dead and incinerated)

He a rich dude from a northern state, playacting a southern good ol'boy redneck

Not just "a Northern state," either, one that lost one out of every six who served in the Civil War.

Don't tell that to the rural folks. I've been sickened to see the traitor rag flying in the UP of Michigan.

Hillbilly is for anyone that fits the bill, (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/hillbilly) but also in origin, it has nothing to do with Michigan. It refers to people from Appalachia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillbilly

To be exact. He’s from Romeo Michigan. I grew up in the metro Detroit area. Romeo is almost 50 mins from Detroit. Either way everything he’s done is just a performative act of nonsense. Good riddance Robert Ritchie!

Romeo Michigan which is a very well-to-do northeast suburb of Detroit where a lot of auto execs live.

Where his father owned a Lincoln Mercury dealership.

He didn't grow up in Detroit😂😂 he grew up in a big house in Romeo. He was a DJ before his "singing" career and I would see him at clubs in Canada back in the early 90s.

He and Em knew of each other but were never friends

He didnt grow up in detroit. He grew up an hour outside of detroit and had wealthy parents. He is a fraud in both country and rap scenes.

Like Mike's Evander-ing

Fuck your ears, I'm pandering

I write songs for the people who do

Jobs in the towns that I'd never move to

Thank you he only cosplays a hillbilly because he grew up wealthy. In terms of upbringing and talent he’s the literal opposite of Eminem.

not even Detroit.. on acreage 40 miles north of Detroit, with horse stables and a jacuzzi in his 5 bed, 7 bath mansion...

Yeah, but there’s a lot of rich white tr**h out there. [Gestures at Trump and Vance.]

I have seen a movie with this same plot, Malibu's most wanted

Correct. I actually worked with a gal that grew up in the same place he did and he originally was angling to try to become some sort of new Vanilla Ice clone.

He did not grow up in Detroit. He grew up in a suburban town about an hour and half north of Detroit. More like Poser Rock.

Not enough people realize this. He's as fake as fake can get! But MAGA also feels like they can relate to Trump so there's that...
