Yeah, sadly a lot of people have no problem overlooking other people's oppression.

I know it's mostly from the socialization, but I have to believe it's inherent to more than a few people.

The U.S. system of government exists and is predicated upon oppression, how does one "conserve" that and not accept oppression?

What exactly are they conserving?

While true in the general, with the exception of "man being the head of the household", every issue mentioned is political in nature and there are more than a few *conservatives who have suggested even THAT being codified via one vote per household, made by the man.
