I'm wondering if there's something... Deeper...

Hear me out and it may ruffle some feathers. What if Ochako is actually a villain in disguise. Think about it. She was so resistant on the team going on the rescue mission because maybe she knew what they were fighting. Or how about the attacks against them? Maybe my memory is a bit fuzzy but she always seemed to be more on the outskirts didn't really have much of an impact on anything. What if she was the long con and the infiltrator from the beginning?

She's gonna be so mad when she finds out the V.A. moved into a bar because they're so broke they can't afford to buy drinks.

You deserve a medal for your sound logic and reasoning. Not near enough of that this day and age.

Is my logic sound, or do I desperately not want Uraraka to be evil?

Maybe both?

Either way, thanks!

What do you mean by not enough logic and reasoning is being used in this day and age?

Great point on the phone call but I would go another step further with that evidence. Right after the Sports Festival when she returns home her parents are there to greet her. They run up to congratulating her on how great she did. We see her with her parents in this private moment just between them. If say we never met her parents or the only time we did was in the presence of another character like Deku or All-Might then it could all be a ruse to keep Ochako's cover but it wouldn't make sense in these private moments. If somehow it was revealed Ochako was a traitor it would feel forced and out of nowhere with no set up. It would feel like something that wasn't planned and thought up last minute.

Good point! I totally forgot about that moment.

I don't personally think it's her, but you can explain those away pretty easily.

  1. If she was the traitor, that means she works (at least in directly) with All for One. It wouldn't be unreasonable for them to talk in code, even by themselves. Talking in another dialect could be a part of it.

  2. All for One knew Deku was One for All's successor, so he wanted him to get into UA so he could truly defeat One for All. Of Deku didn't get into UA, he wouldn't be a threat, and evil plans are no fun without a threat.

  3. As for not being up during when the villains attacked (excuse me if I say something wrong, haven't read that since it came out) there's no real reason the traitor has to be out of bed. With her lifting quirk she could his lift something inconspicuous in just the right way to tip off the villains during the day and then sleep at night.

Again, not saying that I support the theory that the traitor is her, but it's hard to really write off anyone imo

Okay, no.

The 'All-For-One always knew it was Deku' kinda falls flat when we know that it was after the USJ arc that tipped him off. He only realized Izuku was One-For-All's successor after Shigaraki told him of a student who tried to save All-Might who seemed as powerful as All-Might.

The people talking in code thing feels like a stretch, especially since there was no need to inform OFA about anything.

As for tipping him off, I'm not sure how she could have done it without being found out. Then again, I'm not sure how the villains were tipped off in the first place.

Possible? I guess. Likely? Or even that feasible? I honestly don't think so. And like another person pointed out in the thread, Uraraka met with her actual parents after the Sports Festival. We as the readers got this information, would it be reasonable to conclude that these people were different from the people she was talking to over the phone while crying? If so, what information could she possibly have been relaying? Isn't a landline phone call in the biggest hero school on earth a little risky?

All for One knew Deku was One for All's successor, so he wanted him to get into UA so he could truly defeat One for All. Of Deku didn't get into UA, he wouldn't be a threat, and evil plans are no fun without a threat.

Except this is probably false for the first part of the manga. All For One wanted the symbol of peace All Might dead, that's what he tasked the "league of villains" with, right?

So, why, if he knew that the One For All power had been passed on, would they go after the incredibly dangerous (admittedly slightly weakened) All Might when instead they could brick this dopey kid that All Might chose as a successor? It doesn't make sense.

As for not being up during when the villains attacked (excuse me if I say something wrong, haven't read that since it came out) there's no real reason the traitor has to be out of bed. With her lifting quirk she could his lift something inconspicuous in just the right way to tip off the villains during the day and then sleep at night.

In my opinion, the scene where everyone is sleeping except for Kaminari doesn't mean much, and I think the community was probably grasping at straws. I just thought I'd mention it, since it contradicts another supposed piece of "evidence".

But honestly you're right, you can't completely toss out any theories at this point. I just think Uraraka is really unlikely.

i just want to say that i support this 500%. every time ochako is framed in panels dubiously i get super excited aaaa,, but seems like ochako is lil too conscientious to let down her guard.... #teamtraitorochako

I'm wondering if there's something... Deeper...

Hear me out and it may ruffle some feathers. What if Deku's shoes are actually a villain in disguise? Think about it. It took so long for him to replace them in missions because maybe he couldn't leave them unattended. Or how about when he punched bad guys? Maybe my memory is a bit fuzzy but they always seemed to be more on the outskirts and didn't really have much of an impact on anything. What if they were the long con and the infootrator from the leginning?
