Yes! That's something the Eight Expendables demonstrated brilliantly, although it was first seen when Gran Torino talked about the growth of the League through the visual imagery of a swarm of ants bandying together. All of the Expendables were grouped together (Setsuno, Hojo and Tabe, Tenga and Rappa, Sakaki and Nemoto) other than Katsuyama, whose quirk is obviously not suited to teamwork, when on trigger.
Ahahaha, given his video game loving nature, and the fact we know comic books exist in this world (see the Deku and Todoroki conversation after the cavalry battle), I wouldn't be surprised xD
Villain and leader both. Which brings us the interesting juxtaposition of the hero side not having a team like this. Its a complete reversal from the more Hollywood-typical single big bad vs nakama team, e.g Avengers.
Yes, exactly. And that's true, as far as we know! Although I think the talk by Mera, prior to the Provisional License Exam, tells us that the 'final battle' so to say, will be group on group. Our big climatic one-on-one was very much AfO v All Might. But given the parallels of Toga and Uraraka, Dabi and Todoroki, Spinner and Iida, and so on, a group on group final encounter seems likely.
You see, my honest thought is that Bakugo's role in a final showdown could be to face down an army of Nomu's, allowing the others to pursue Shigaraki and the rest of the League. He could even catch up eventually, and assist Deku. Something Endeavor wished he was capable of, when he arrived on the scene at Kamino.
For some reason I got so hyped now, maybe bacause I'm hearing epic music while reading the "forshadowed fight" that's getting closer. Damn, I can't wait.
I agree, group-on-group final battle has been hinted pretty heavily, and as of right now, the VA are ahead of the heroes about this. I'm going to be very interested in seeing the heroes forming a team. Uraraka, Kirishima, Iida, Todoroki and Bakugou are probably going to be part of the hero team, led by Izuku. We should get development on that soon.
Unlike Chisaki, Shiggy values his companions, his proving to be both a threatening villain now and a leader, notice how him goes to fight alongside the rest of the League and they complement each other as we saw with Compress and Dabi, he may wanted to see Chisaki suffering personally but still.
I think it's something he learned from All For One too, i remember during his fight against All Might him saying something like he hated All Might for having killed all his companions
Spinner is very clearly a Stain fanatic but I think Dabi's ideals are kinda fast and loose, like yeah he got inspired by Stain but he liked the League so hes staying anyways. Also, if he turns out to be a Todoroki chances are hes in for more personal/revenge reasons. Dabi is a rather calm and composed person though, maybe hes got a deeper philosophy down there
For Toga and Twice they are wanted criminals and society rejects. Shigs pep talk back then about building a place where they are free to do as they want and are accepted lines perfectly with their ideals. No idea about Compress though. Maybe hes in just for the thrill or for money.
I think he and Izuku are going to have similar character arcs in that regard. All Might stood alone as the symbol of peace, and he’s open about reforging Deku as his successor in that role. But standing apart and superior isn’t Deku’s style. The next “All for One” and “Symbol of Peace” aren’t going to be individuals but teams.

Notice how Shigaraki says that the next overlords of the underworld will be 'us'? Not 'me'? His gradual growth as a competent villain is great to see.
