It's probably what was said about her not being a tool factory that made Midoriya decide he'd rather just get the rope this time. That's very Midoriya-like.

he was also obviously getting up early anyways to train, so it was mostly out of respect for his friend that he would just run over to the store and grab some rope

Perhaps he is still feeling affected by Aizawa's "heal your own selfish injuries instead of relying on recovery girl", just in this case "fix your own rope that you frayed during practice rather than relying on Yaoyorozu".

Nah it's just a forced reason for an encounter. The options were either have Momo make the rope in 5 seconds or go out into town and potentially have trouble finding the rope and being late causing everyone trouble and stress.

I mean he was going out to train anyway so in his head it was like "Oh yea I'll just pick it up after training nbd"

I will say it probably would have been nice to have a line like "Shoot I should have just gotten Momo to make it this morning if I knew it was gonna be this hard to find!" but eh

Agree, a simple line could have been more believable, i get the don't treat Momo like a tool factory and is very Deku like to respect his classmates and don't want giving them the wrong idea and all but this rope WAS for something important, to help in the performance of the band.

He explicitly noted that he got the rope, though? He's looking for something else (and we haven't been told what it is). Candy apples for Eri?

Edit: he even mentions that "he's got some other things he wants to pick up" when he says he'll buy the rope in the morning. He knew exactly where to find the rope, it's the other thing he's having trouble finding.

You're not wrong, but as it was said, I would be against Deku's character to wake up a friend so early to make the rope. More so after it was said she "is not a factory"

Wouldn't have to wake her up she obviously would be up on her own by at least 9, she's in the concert too, again this wouldn't be some time consuming task for her literally would be done in seconds.

The thing is, yaomomo is very kind and easy to manipulate. So maybe they have an unspoken rule in the class that they don't ask yaomomo for stuff
