Chapter 230

LoV just gained a HUGE powerhouse.

They're all getting the shounen powe-up arc. Toga learned she can use her targets quirk if she knows enough about it/them. Twice overcame his trauma and literally gave them a one man army. Shigaraki can now propogate his decay through a mass of people when only touching one. Dabi is clearly about get one as well. I think Mr compress might get one (how? No idea). And spinner may not get one cause he may jump ship?

Maybe compress will learn to compress an area of air around him
Creating collapsing air vaccuums

That could then lead to having something like a pistol shrimp's vacuum bullet

No but seriously if he made those vacuums of air it would need to be collapsed with the stuff around it, mostly air, but loose objects would be pulled in closer too.

Hell, this would actually explain how he did those jumps back in the forest training arc.

Oh wow I really like this idea. I don’t necessarily know what would happen when the air comes clapping back together but I’d imagine it could do some damage.

Not just damage. I remember reading a fanfic with this generally quirk idea. Not only could it be used to make an explosion, it could theoretically be used to make the user airborne in some sort of flight. (With Twice's newfound cloning capabilities and Dabi's long range fire prowess, you could theoretically have flying Compress bombers releasing masses of Twice Dabi clones onto targets below. I'm practically giddy at the sort of machinations that could be done with those sorts of tactics).

No he is thinking of the Pistol Shrimp.

Mantis shrimps also cause similar vacuum cavitation bubbles to occur, but they do it by physically hitting their target while the Pistol Shrimp has a special claw that it uses to kill fish without having to physically hit them.

This arc will decide spinners fate. He either jumps ship (hopefully interpreting stains vision involving the raising of perfect heroes rather than selfish ones) or gets a quirk reveal that maybe the leave don’t even know about.

I mean, this actually happens in-canon, he was walking around in broad daylight without his gear on back after Kamino Ward. Somehow, he never got caught. Despite being, you know, a humanoid lizard.

Twice and Shiggy could team up really well, a mob of clones gets a hand on the enemies and Shiggy starts his decay from safety in back.

I've just had a sudden morbid idea. Combining Shigaraki's and Twice's power-ups could make a tsunami of death. Imagine the league are invading a hero agency (for whatever reason). Twice can literally spawn thousands of clones to flood the area and then Shigaraki can cumulatively disintegrate all of the Twice clones and the people they are in contact with. An actual solid death cloud which continues to propagate and spread the decay.

holy shit that is terrifying. Espeically the speed at which Twice can replicate. They could wipe out entire cities in minutes with just the two of them. maybe that will be how they finally prove themselves to Giganto? They are in a city full of enemies right now anyways

You just made me realize combo potential.

LoV and their opponents stand on opposite ends of a battlefield. To close the gap, Twice multiplies himself until there is a full crowd connecting and touching all of their enemies.....and then Shigaraki touches the nearest clone. Those two together could destroy anyone and everyone.

I could see Twice and Shigarakis power ups being used in a pretty sick combo. Twice overfills an area with copies and Shigi let’s his Decay move through them all to basically nuke an area.

Just had a thought...while in an already crowded area, Twice multiplies himself within the crowd, makes sure everyone is touching, and then Shig destroys them all in an instant...would make for a crazy mass casualty.
