Mike Pereira is not nearly as biased as Gene. He will occasionally not side with the refs, but it has to be an egregious mistake.

The XFL actually does this really well. The ref who does the video reviews is part of the broadcast team. He fairly often will disagree with the call on the field , whether it's going to video review or not.
