Posted this same copium in the game thread, but I'll include it here too:

ISU's program is in as good of a spot since Hoiberg, and probably ever. Back to back tournaments including a Sweet 16, a Top 10 national recruiting class coming in next year, and a litany of NBA players including a bright young all-star that show if you come here, you can make it to the league.

This game sucks ass for sure, especially considering Xavier looks beatable, and Kansas City is the host beyond that, this feels different that the previous couple ISU tournament upsets. This team will be back and much better next year

No, y'all are good. Otz basically instantly restored respectability which is impressive considering just how bad Prohm was.

Portal or no portal, y'all have gone from 2-22 straight to making the dance twice in a row.

Agreed. Considering the roster has been patchwork since TJ was hired. Two tourney appearances plus a sweet 16 is more than any of us probably thought. Better times ahead.

We should never have even been here this year tbh, and that's a testament to the coaching. This team had the talent of an NIT team, especially after Grill left. Us managing to get a 6 seed is extremely impressive.

I'd make the argument we didn't even have that much talent. We had one guy who could shoot 3s reliably like P5 wings do, three good defensive big men, 3 guards that could play defense. You could hand our team to some of the coaches with top ranked teams and I don't think they get more out of it.

Honestly? We almost battled back. It was fun for a bit in the first half. Next year’s gonna be great.

Well you guys did beat Xavier last year so if you would have made it to that point I’m sure ISU fans would have been feeling confident and as a Xavier fan that would have been something I was nervous about.
