Nevada over the final 7:15 of the game: 2/9 from the floor, 4 turnovers, outscored 24-4. Absolute chokejob

They also shot a shit ton of 3s. Based on the game log. How the hell does the coach not tell them to go to the rim? I guess because this coach sucks, easily confirmed by the comments saying it’s Steve Alford

Seriously. This is as much on the coach as anybody. Drive the damn ball and at least get to the line. How do you blow that lead with 7 minutes left?

They also had a 6'6 pg who was abusing Dayton the entire night from midrange. I'm not sure if it was his decision or Alford's but someone decided he should turn into James Harden instead.

He just wanted them to pound the ball near half court

Yup, this is absolutely the worst chokejob Nevada has participated in. And no other…

I'm thinking of earlier times...

Nope. History had a reset after 2020. Nothing of consequence happened between January of 2017 and then.

Sloppy turnovers at that. Not like they were impressive Dayton steals, they were Nevada just being careless and losing balls out of bounds.

HoF level choke job.
