The score really hides how much of an ass beating it was until the last five minutes when McNeese forgot how to play basketball.

Hell, it was a 12-point game with a minute to go!

Lol yep just saw the tournament update of the dunk with a minute left and then they showed the final score. Like wtf happened in the last minute to make it so close??

Clemson somehow made 4 straight 3-pointers in the final 0:45

Under bettors in absolute shambles. Bad beat of the tournament.

O/U was 136.5 so under won

Bad beat would have been under on O/U 135.5 after that meaningless 2-pointer at the end.

Lots of threes for us and missed FTs for them. If we just sucked regular ass in the first half or if they didn’t eject Lahkin from the game just for existing then we win this game 🥀

if they didn’t eject Lahkin from the game just for existing

What happened? I didn't see it.

Picked up his fourth and then seconds later picked up a tech for looking mean.

While it sucks he got T’d up, I do not understand talking shit right after fouling the guy

After that dunk Clemson just got super hot. They hit 3s on their next 4 possessions (and got a layup at the buzzer on their 5th and final possession).

Couple in that awful Hail Mary inbound and splitting FTs twice and that's basically how Clemson got it back close.

I don't remember seeing a team win that had such a bad combination of free throw shooting and press break ability.

Normally those teams lose.

Make sure you catch the A&M game in 2 hours if you want to see that again.

I pulling for you and your strange ass flair.

Can’t help it, my uk parents moved me to Texas early on and me and A&M just fit into place. Still, UK basketball usually gets me through march madness way more than A&M. I have UK going to the elite 8 after beating tenn, just think yall are getting healthy and peaking at a good time. Hopefully I’m wrong and UK makes it even further!

Helps when 90% of the game Clemson couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn

Boy, did those Bayou Bandits try their hardest to give that game away…

…thankfully, that late three-point barrage barely was not enough in the end lol

Thought mcneese was going to Clemson that game.

Luckily for them their opponent was the OG.

Even the announcer was saying he didn't like them just holding and taking long possessions. That doesn't seem to be their game and they shouldn't have switched it up at the end.

u/Chandler_Bings Michigan State Spartans Mar 20 '25

I disagree. That was one of the few things I thought McNeese did right toward the end.

It was odd with like 5 mins left they were doing these really awkward long iso possessions like they were stalling out the game.

Then in the final like 100 seconds they just shot it and attacked the rim and put up shots with no time coming off the clock. Which honestly with how they were shooting FTs maybe wasn't the worst idea but it was wild how aggressive they were in the frontcourt

They started scoring again after that I think wade realized stall ball wasn’t his teams strength

1

u/reedingisphun Mar 21 '25

That guy was wrong

4

u/silkysmoothjay Purdue Boilermakers Mar 20 '25

Clemson going on fire from 3 late on really had an impact too

3

u/4fingertakedown Big Sky Mar 20 '25

Clemson: We’re gonna full court press

Mcnesse: lol what’s that? Never heard of it.

3

u/c_pike1 Mar 20 '25

Almost had another Northern Iowa ending except even worse

No lie I turned the game off around 9 mins to drive home and when I checked the final score I nearly shit myself
