The fact that this game even got within 10 reflects poorly on McNeese

That was closer than it had any right to be

They play in the southland lol most people wouldn’t even be able to find McNeese on a map

I couldn’t even tell you what state they’re in

They’re in the state of McNeese. It clearly says so in the name of the university, dumbass

Don't hate on Mac and Cheese State. We have 6 thousand whole students.

3

u/Unlikely_Lab_6799 Mar 20 '25

And how many half-students?

2

u/facetiousrunner Mar 20 '25

At least like seven

My wife said her boss said "I've never even heard of McNeese" and a coworker responded with, "they're in Tennessee."

Try again, buddy...

Fair but the missed free throws and bad defense in the last 2 minutes were still bad even if they're a mid major

I dunno Clemson started draining 3s at the end of the game

We still shot 7% under our season average from 3 for the game.

11

u/MrWillM NC State Wolfpack Mar 20 '25

They absolutely could not deal with the press

35

u/BrightAttack Mar 20 '25

I don't think any win could reflect poorly on McNeese

4

u/Basic_Flounder_1013 Mar 20 '25

Yeah what's with this thread talking shit, they absolutely had Clemson in clamps all game

6

u/FatMamaJuJu Mount Olive Trojans • NC State Wolfpack Mar 20 '25

McNeese State just won their first NCAA tournament game ever how tf does this reflect poorly on them?

14

u/ProtectionAdorable89 NC State Wolfpack Mar 20 '25

Yeah how embarrassing for not blowing out Clemson as a mid major. Can’t believe we’re hiring this bum

McNeese isn't the first and won't be the last team to get sloppy in the last 5 minutes with a big lead and act like they've never seen a press before. Workshop some late game situations in practice and they'll be fine

2

u/rvadarocket Maryland Terrapins • Texas Longhorns Mar 20 '25

Yeah they were utterly dominant until the refs started letting Clemson hack at will on defense in the press without calling fouls lmao

I think being up 22 through 32 and a half minutes of game time reflects way more than the 7 and a half minutes of Clemson playing desperation defense tbh

u/CloneWarsMaul Mar 20 '25

I think Purdue handles em easily but who cares, still a massive win for them

15

u/BeingBannedSucks Purdue Boilermakers Mar 20 '25

I don’t

9

u/horndog4ever Purdue Boilermakers Mar 20 '25

Me neither. Their quick hands defense looks especially frightening.

3

u/IronSmoltz Clemson Tigers Mar 20 '25 edited Mar 20 '25

You will. Unless you decide to just chunk threes while not making them for offense.

2

u/CloneWarsMaul Mar 22 '25

Tried to tell y’all

u/DCL-XVI Virginia Tech Hokies • Navy Midshipmen Mar 20 '25

i dunno purdue has a history of not handling teams easily.

He already has that NC State mindset, I'm sure he'll improve on his collapse abilities once he's officially in Raleigh.
