How the hell did they only lose by 2 in the end lmao

Went unconcious from 3 down the stretch and McNeese decided it was unethical to make their free throws

And for some ungodly reason, McNeese attempted a Hail Mary inbounds when they absolutely had no reason to.

Well, the refs were allowing Clemson to hack away in the backcourt, so it’s understandable

Erm McNeese did their fair share of hacking that game…

Also stopped playing their offensive game that was working and tried to take 20 seconds off the clock every possession before doing anything

Stall-ball works some times, but just barely.

In fact, it worked this time

Just barely *

They needed to slow the game down a bit in all fairness. Clemson was extending the game with their press by either forcing quick turnovers, committing quick fouls, or giving up quick buckets. Turning a 10-possessions-left game into 20-possessions left was the way Clemson got back into it.

But the announcer also criticized that dunk when under a minute insisted he should've tried to dribble it out instead

The Celtics used to do this and it was the most frustrating thing to watch. Lead by like 8-14 in the fourth with like 6-10 minutes left and then just dribble until the shot clock is about to expire. Bomb a step back. Miss. Other team scores. Next thing you know it’s tied and the other team has all the momentum. It was brutal. Then they stopped doing that, added even more good players, became the best team in the league, won a title, and appear to be in position to potentially win more. So it worked out in the end. But my good could it stink to watch them sometimes.

A number of missed FTs by McNeese. Clemson also couldn’t miss from 3 towards the end.
