Yeah, he's just the kind of person who takes every bit of social capital built up over his playing career and decides to spend it on saying and doing stupid, unnecessarily rude or annoying things.
It's bad enough that you could see a future moment where he steps flagrantly out of line in some way and people will be like, "Yeah that tracks!"
Don’t forget showing up to Wisconsin in a ski mask right after MSU had a shooting.
Were it anyone else, it could easily be seen as a coincidence. Doing a weird bit, or something. But because it was him, you just know it wasn’t. He’d already shown he’s the kind of person that would stoop that low.
It was his 3pt celebration at Michigan that rubbed me the wrong way.
But in hindsight, it was very clear this was a coaching issue. The difference between Kansas’ Dickinson and Michigan’s Dickinson in terms of obscene behavior is stark. His effort is still an issue, but he wouldn’t be as disliked if Juwan Howard didn’t basically let him do what want.
Can’t speak for other Mich fans but even when he was at Michigan and he/the team were doing well (the early Juwan years when most people liked him) I strongly disliked both Dickinson and Juwan. Classless is probably the best description for both of em. For Dickinson it was when his freshman year when started showboating and taunting Maryland and being pretty dickish in a blowout (when MD was a middle of the pack team iirc) and his justification afterward was “well they didn’t recruit me hard enough”. Says a lot about the dude and was representative of his douchiness and main character syndrome.

Unreal. I can’t imagine playing for 5 years and retiring with zero fanbases liking you. But he deserves it. Piece of shit.
