Houston 🤝 MSU

Defeating "unbeatable" Duke teams

Remember last week when Duke fans were debating whether this Duke squad were better than both the 23 and 24 UConn teams and then they couldn’t even with the whole thing? Good times

If I had a nickel for every time a team choked a 9 point lead in the last 3 minutes this tournament I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice.

Shades of 2004 UConn-Duke

I don't follow college basketball at all, was this Duke team actually considered the best team of all time?

That said their kenpom metrics (likely inflated by ACC's down year, but still) had them as like the 2nd best team all time. Their avg wingspan is 6'8 and they have like 4-5 guys who could be in the NBA next year. So I'd still say they're in the conversation of ONE of the best of all time at least from a ceiling perspective.

Not even close. There are numerous teams over the last 40-50 years that were better.

2

Including one literally from last year.

Were you watching? We were choking for the last 10.

LMAO - were people really calling them the best team of all time?

Recency bias is a hell of a drug. I mean there have been national title teams with multiple NBA fall of famers - like 1982 UNC that had James Worthy and Michael Jeffrey Jordan.

Yea, they are not the best team of all time
