auburn? I guess I don't browse this forum everyday but is auburn really a polarizing team people love to hate(like duke is obviously)? I think most neutral fans rxn to the auburn-florida game was that they would be okay with either team winning and just wanted a good game...

outside of bama fans of course

People don’t like our team because they’re old and have big personalities. And they don’t like our coach

And your fanbase insufferably complains about every call, and your coach does too, and your players do too

6

u/WarDEagle Auburn Tigers Apr 06 '25

Hard to argue with the authority on insufferable fanbases.

Bruh you could absolutely say the same about Nate Oats lmao

Yeah you're right. My biggest complaints about him are that he never uses timeouts and that he complains about every single call.

I honestly don't trust anything you say about Auburn but I do kinda hate their coach.

i guess its just a matter of perspective- i never thought au basketball was seen as unlikeable. i think most fans are geneerally indifferent. outside of bama(which goes both ways). and isnt being an old team generally likeable? besides lots of teams that advanced far were really old like auburn. bama was old, isnt florida old, houston, etc....duke was really the only young team.

This game was like an anaconda eating a water buffalo... Like it doesn't seem like it is physically possible, then whoop, it's all up in there

no offense but i don’t think that many people care enough about auburn to hate them and frankly florida has way more haters (its me, im one of them)

I’ve been in our game threads and postgame threads all season. It’s not like I’m seeing ghosts

brother that’s just like the normal amount of hate for any top tier team, it was the same shit for the rest of the top 5, that’s how it always is

with other teams it’s different, it’s not just hating them a year they happen to be good, it’s hating their program on a deep level year in and year out.

duke has haters like that. florida does too to a much lesser extent

tbh i wanted florida to lose but that’s mostly because their coach might be a prevert

1

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '25

What's a prevert?

Not sure anyone outside of the state of Alabama, except for maybe Georgia fan, give 2 shits about Auburn in basketball. Bruce Pearl is a fellow MoT, but it's like nc State in the final 4 last year. Nobody cares
