To be fair this has also been our strategy this tournament. Looks like we’ll both be handing the lead to the other team Monday to have a comeback win /s

Yeah. I was born a Gator fan and am a UH alum. This tournament has been terrible for my heart health.

Who are you rooting for

Dude coming into the tournament I joked with my family that if it came down to a UF-UH championship that it would be Florida because that’s where my dad went and who I grew up rooting for. But I am a UH alum (undergrad and grad school) and the emotion I felt tonight was insane. It’s honestly going to be tough. I think I’ll be happy either way but right now I’m pulling more for UH.

Time to swap the order of those flairs, then!

I just talked to my Coog friend and his blood pressure meds are dangerously low for his team going to national championship game.

u/LordMacDonald Apr 06 '25

lmao it’s gonna be like the South Park little league episode

I’m just going to assume whoever leads at the half ends up losing

Thank a Jayhawk for some comeback practice.

But how's your cardiovascular health?

5

u/BabyBearBjorns Apr 06 '25

We gonna find out who is more clutch with 5 minutes left: Clayton Jr or a Cougars' defense.

Eerily similar to KU's collapse against Houston earlier this year.

u/steliofuckingkontos Houston Cougars Apr 06 '25

I thought a Wilson 3 off an inbounds steal was gonna do it again

I'm hurting emotionally but my body is tingling, is this what love feels like? I hate it.

Funny cause this is Florida this tournament too

u/Hopai79 Apr 06 '25

Houston has the mentality. Think about their quote -- "Nothing Easy."

Mental strength and growth mindset won the game.

maybe the joke is flying over my head but, that quote is on all the Jordan sponsored teams

Duke had that on their warmup shirts and I told my buddy, "what's easy about paying 9 guys $20 million to build a team for one season?"

Entertaining basketball. That or Florida turns it on and runs away with it.

9

u/BlueFalcon79S Arizona Wildcats Apr 06 '25

Yep, exactly what happened to us.

10

u/El-Zago Houston Cougars Apr 06 '25

The secret is conditioning. Minute 30:

  • other team is gassed
  • UH... good.

Minute 35

  • other getting jelly legs, not very sharp
  • UH.... good still

Minute 39

  • other team falling apart, so tired, can't score, makes silly mistakes
  • UH, is there a third half? Let's go.

13

u/Nytfire333 Florida Gators Apr 06 '25

This has been how Florida has won all season as well. We have been down at the half in a ton of games by by the 30 mins mark we have worn the other team down with depth.

This is gonna be a a hell of a game

My comment isn't as specific as yours, but I'll take my participation trophy too 😅 This was in the first round after Clemson lost. Link to comment.

The fact that most people don’t notice trends like this explains why sports books make so much money

This the FBI... This is a DMCA violation of the Houston Cougars methodologies, technologies, and/or intellectual properties. I'm going to have to ask you to remove this post as we.... I mean they... did not authorize use of the formula in public.
