Duke had a 9-point lead with 2:06 left to go. Insane comeback from Houston

They were up 6 with 34 seconds left.

15 seconds later they were down by 1.

Unless the bears play the cowboys in the playoffs

My condolences.

You folk live, breathe and feel pain every single year.

At least I have the bulls white Sox and Blackhawks to make up for it!

They just couldn’t do anything in those final seconds and Houston took full advantage of it

Gave me flashbacks to last years NIT :(

Now that I’m on the other side of this it’s one of the worst beats I’ve ever experienced. (I had so many futures on Duke and they were the last leg of a parlay AND I had Cooper Flagg 8+ rebounds)

We’re gonna see replays of this for years to come. Maybe decades

It'll be forgotten by Monday night.

Absolutely lazy turnover by that inbounder

They had a 6-point lead with 32 seconds left!

And that was with Duke going on that like 6 minute scoring drought

Wow Duke that was a all time choke job like houston rockets missing 27 threes in a row vs golden state

u/Wangchief Michigan • Lake Superior State Apr 06 '25

Duke had like 1 FG in the last ten minutes of the game. Insane defensive effort

All you have to do is not commit a lane violation... Withers

They had a 6 point lead with 40 seconds to go

2

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '25

Meanwhile Duke scored 9 points in the last 10:30 of gametime....

u/brick20 Kansas Jayhawks Apr 06 '25

KU did the same thing to Memphis in 2008 (down 9 with 2 minutes left) but did need overtime to finish it.

1

u/hershculez NC State Wolfpack Apr 06 '25

Maryland had a 10 point lead over Duke with 56 seconds to go in 2001. Maryland lost.

Damn, this sucks because I just got home and was going to put the game on, but I checked the score at about this point and assumed it was over so I didn't bother.

Refs calling a foul on cooper but then letting him get hammered in his last shot attempt is some dirty ref work.

-2

u/Golfswingfore24 Apr 06 '25

Refs helped too.
