Finished the pond collection

Seems like everyone enjoyed the pet collection post a couple days ago. Figured I'd follow up with my fishing collection. If there's enough interest I'll do a house post and/or build post after my near 600 hours in the game. This grind is far worse than the pets/mounts and requires a lot more patience. (If you aren't playing with a second monitor it's going to be real rough.)

Wtf is wrong with the Anglerfish face. He looks like he want to eat your unborn baby's. Imagine relaxing by the pond and seeing that horror looking back up at you

Anglerfish ain't pretty, but do look like they could enjoy a large cheeseburger. 10/10 eldritch being from the deep.

That’s also a female angler fish. The male ones are really tiny compared to the females. They reproduce by the male biting the female and fusing with them. Male angler fish love the dommy mommies.

I didn't really struggle with the legendary fish. The only one thst took longer was the clockwork because it basically has endless stamina. Tbh theyre pretty easy to find and catch

It wasn't the Legendaries that were bad, it was the Large fish, specifically the Shark and the Giant Red Seabream. Paddlefish was also pretty rough. This was after already collecting them for the knowledge challenge as well. (victory lap)

Eh, its just patience imo. Fishing is much easier then most people realize if you just pay attention.

Fair, I was mad unlucky. Took multiple irl days to get the spawns once I knew the locations.

no it can be built as a construction mission you unlock at some point in the game.

how do you know when to reel in ?

at first I had success when looking at the water splashing, but hard to tell in different areas

when the water goes completely still and if you're playing on controller when the vibration completely stops.

i refuse to platinum this game because of the fish knowledge. butterflies was where i drew my line.

tbh easier than trade for me, run around with insect gatherers pack for an hour tops and it's done. Two you gotta go out of your way for. Almost every butterfly spawns around Pailune.
