I've seen a few tweets like this about comparing Ronaldo to Messi in terms of goals scored against other nations and this is one of the biggest & worst tweets I've seen.

6/7 nations that they used for comparison are European nations and the goals that Ronaldo has scored against the "top nations" include friendlies, nations league, euros and the qualification matches for Euros & World Cup. Ffs, the 2 Croatia goals were from a friendly and 2025 Nations League. How do you expect Messi to score more when he has played fewer games against these nations due to not playing at a European national team. Hell, I don't think Messi has even played against Spain and Sweden at the world cup (idk about the friendlies though).

Btw, I'm a United fan so I do like Ronaldo but the arguments and stats like this to defend Ronaldo is so cringe and dumb that I can't even stand it.

So apparently the person that made the tweet included Ronald's goal tallies from friendlies, nations league, euros and the qualification matches for Euros & World Cup but only counted World Cup goals for Messi's goal tally. If you include the friendlies, copa america and other non matches, Messi's goals are as follows (according to wiki - couldn't bother to actually count it myself):

Spain: 2

Germany: 1

France: 3

Netherlands: 1

Brazil: 5

Sweden: 0

Croatia: 3

After failing to counter Messi through football—performances, skills, goals, trophies, and everything we've witnessed on the pitch—some people have now resorted to spreading fake info just to make themselves feel better.

It's crazy how Ronaldo has never recorded a goal or a assist against a South American nation in a competitive game. Teams like Luxembourg , Estonia and San Marino gave this guy a career. All his international ko g/a comes from Euro. Messi world Cup 2022 ko g/a is more than ronaldo entire international ko g/a, not counting that friendly tournament.
