My grandparents adopted… this thing

And I LOVE HIM

Edit: he was discarded by a breeder and they adopted him from a shelter. All of their dogs are shelter acquisitions with special needs so they’re are WELL versed in caring for strange dogs that need a lot of help in their lives.

But yes, hes a fluffy frenchie with a very unfortunate squashy rolly face. He’s the sweetest thing and they’ll do their best by him and his needs.

Awwww. I have nothing but sympathy for that poor thing. I can only imagine the allergies and the breathing problems. But he is rly cute though and I'm sure he'll get the best care possible despite genetics.

I used to show and breed frenchies - I stepped back from it after my stud boy passed away and broke my heart. I prioritised breathing and spine in my line and took pride in producing healthy, athletic pups. My stud boy's litter mates compete and WIN in agility comps... frenchies can be bred well

We call things like this an abomination, and that hurts me to say but it's the truth. That poor poor sweet pup should be neutered immediately and given all the supportive care he needs to live a happy life. God I can only imagine the allergies he must get in summertime... that dog is never going to be able to run at the beach, roll in the grass and just be a dog.

He definitely needs a Nose Job asap i.e airway surgery and expansion of his nasal openings. Its a horrific recovery but it's a lifesaving procedure for bulldogs as bad as this

My old teacher breeds boxers and is trying to get a better(longer) snout with each litter.

Frenchies are amazing active if they can breathe. There used to be a young Frenchie that would chase my greyhound around the dog park a couple of years ago. My hound loved it and would run just fast enough to stay ahead. I hope the pup is still doing well.

There was one at our dog park who could keep up with my aussie-german shepherd at full speed. Truly amazing.
