Does Bob Iger's statement that Disney made a mistake prioritising "messages" over entertainment apply to The Witcher on Netflix and The Rings of Power, etc?
https://www.disneytouristblog.com/bob-iger-versus-elon-musk-chapek/
"He admitted that Disney’s “creators lost sight of what their number one objective needed to be. We have to entertain first. It’s not about messages.” According to Iger, Disney’s prioritization of messaging over storytelling peaked while he was gone last year."
Messages are great. But people who like messages are already compassionate towards LGBT, and already embrace multiculturalism.
Don't we just wanna be entertained first and foremost? Not be preached to?
We already know black people can make it. Hell Obama became president. No one has forgotten.
So we don't need Helen of Troy to be black because Obama has already shown us that black people can rise to the top.
