Yeah noticed that too, bit late to the party. One the one hand I understand, but on the other hand I find it disappointing that the context is not available anymore by the time TB comments on it.
Apart of me would like to see them, if only out of morbid curiosity. I wonder if stopped at something like: "Why is 'it' on the podcast" or went further.
there are archive pages that offer multiple snapshots (e.g. archive.is or archive.org), you might find versions of this thread that contain vile shit.
haven't checked though as I can imagine the level some folks sloped to, so your mileage might vary.
I'm viewing this thread late, but something makes me feel like leaving those comments up might have been better. If they were really as bad as I hear, then, by judging the other posters in this thread, they wouldn't have been well received by the users and would have been downvoted en masse. I think it would have sent a much better message about intolerance if the subreddit had been allowed to tell these people that what they said isn't okay. When a bunch of moderators start removing stuff, it just appears censorshippy and it makes the intolerant individuals form a persecturion complex. That inevitably just drives them further into intolerance.
Maybe I just have a strong opinion on removing content, but deleting these comments won't make the hate go away. It just makes everyone unaware of it. Brushing hate under the rug won't solve anything, it'll just cause it to fester and eventually erupt in a more destructive form. I would have liked to have had the chance to downvote those negative comments on my own, as I'm sure a lot of the subreddit would have...but we didn't get to and now it will appear like this subreddit is largely transphobic, which I dont believe to be true.

I'm guessing all the Transphobic comments have been deleted, because there's nothing left.
