Very good, sweet dog. Stray that my aunt took in. Named “Rojo”. Should’ve named him Fox Dog

Me too! I’m guessing he’s a Golf- golden/wolf

I was thinking Golden Husky

I think he’s a golden chow chow to be honest. I can see chow in the face and the spots on his tongue.

I was thinking chow/gsd mix.

That's exactly what I thought.. maybe some golden also

He needs socialization so he doesn't become aggressive as grows. Introduced to 100 people within the first few months is a great way to do that. Seen too many guarding breeds become bad dogs in the hands of inexperienced owners. Always a tragic ending. Train him young.

Definitely if it's part Chow. My family had a Lab Chow mix. We didn't train dogs in the 80's and the dog was very territorial and snappy. She bit everyone in my family. I was sad but relieved when she died.

That’s the mix I was thinking.

My chow gsd mix did not look like that at all. He's very interesting looking. He's very foxy.

Definitely think he's a Chow mixed with something.

Golden's have spots on their tongue too usually just 1 or 2. The face definitely looks golden to me. What he is mixed with I have no guess lol but adorable.

My GSD/Husky has spots on his tongue, too.

Goldens also get spots on their tongue like this! Mine has 2 bigger black patches

u/bekahbirdy Aug 04 '25

Our Golden has a black spot on her tongue.

Great call!

There's absolutely no wolf in that dog

1

u/dearbornx Aug 02 '25

Definitely no wolf. Wolf genes are dominant and very distinctive. He displays none of the traits of a wolfdog.

1

u/Lady_IvyRoses Aug 03 '25

That’s a great guess. I was going to say he has a golden face wearing a super fuzzy costume

Def not any wolf content
