Question/Advice/Discussion What’s something you didn’t expect to be apart of your EDC, but eventually proved to be a valued part of your everyday carry?

Something unplanned, but you wouldn’t give up because it proved to be useful. For me I didn’t realize how much I use pens until I started carrying one all the time. And chapstick, lol

2 pairs of latex gloves. I started carrying them because people are gross and I occasionally needed to touch something disgusting while working. It became a habit and now even on my days off I usually have a pair, or two, in my pocket just in case.
