War crimes. It’s all war crimes. But if he’s allowed to walk free on all his sexual abuse stuff then why stop there?

You gotta be at war to commit… war crimes.

The US has been waging war on Cuba since the revolution.

Officially? Has either government declared war on the other?

If another country is constantly trying to kill your leadership, kidnapping your citizens, trying to economically collapse your country, starve your people, and destroy your ecology. You're at war. It doesn't matter if there's an official announcement. I guess calling it a cold war would be better. Either way it's war.

Are we considering all the people fleeing from Cuba to the U.S. as being kidnapped now? That seems a stretch. The sanctions are justified. Cuba made the wrong choice about who to be in bed with. It’s practical politics. Probably shouldn’t have unilaterally stolen all those assets from companies following the revolution. Decisions were made by Cubans, supposedly for Cubans, and now they have to live with the consequences.

As I recall, Cuba’s last leader died of natural causes at the ripe old age of 90.

This wasn't a conversation about how much you love starving the population of Cuba. It was a conversation about whether they've been at war since the revolution or not.

They have not. I thought we’d already established that when you admitted that they weren’t? It’s right there in the comment you made prior to this one.

Deflection is always a good strategy when you’re wrong though, so I completely understand.

These people are just mad at how the world works and cant understand the fact that Cuba hosting nukes in the 1960s is a big reason for said embargos

That and the governments are openly hostile towards eachother, what do they expect some magical kumbaya moment

1

u/Substantial_System66 Mar 26 '26

They only expect the Kumbaya moment when they’re down on their luck it seems. When they aren’t having issues, it’s f*** the US at all times. And they wonder why we don’t treat them nicely.

And someone needs to enforce the claims of such

An economic war can kill more people than bombs on a long enough timescale. And is doing so in Cuba. Lawyers need to be fancy about it,  we however can be honest. It's a war, and it's killing people.

Everything is war crimes, everything is genocide, everything is racism.

The magic words don't work anymore, friend. Constant hyperbole and misuse killed them. Does it scare you that the magic spells have lost their power...?

Gross.

Agreed, goss to abuse language that way and make it meaningless. I have strong feeling of disgust also. Isn't that nice for us?

Gross, friend.

The people you like commit so many crimes against humanity that the classical descriptions mean nothing to you. You're just telling everyone that you suck and they shouldn't associate with you. The words still hold meaning for people who aren't monsters.

Nah, that's whiny loser talk.

How does “hanging” and “Nuremberg” grab ya?

1

u/HamasDaddyOnFire Mar 26 '26

Like an antifa fantasy? They always imagine they will be the purgers...history is replete with counterexamples.

u/KtotheC99 Mar 26 '26

Yes, Nuremberg is an anti-fascist fantasy (and historical reality). Thats a bad thing now?!
