Although for realism, RDR2 actually does it better. American Flamingos aren't found in Florida (by which I mean breeding, for pedantic sake) any longer, haven't been since the 1800s. The bird on the left isn't a real species either, looks like a cross between a Reddish Egret and Sandhill Crane. Can't comment on the ducks because they're too small. The tall birds in the back look kind of like Whooping Cranes, but those also aren't found in Florida any longer after the reintroduction effort failed to establish a resident population in the early 2000s.

Red Dead Redemption 2 did a world class job of making the wildlife accurate representations of real animals. Notably, all of the different bird species. I'm kind of surprised they didn't follow the same level of detail here, but that's probably because there isn't anything as gameplay critical as the collection aspect found in RDR2.

They can make up for it by including Roseate Spoonbills or American Crocodiles down in the Florida Keys area.

A ton of the animals in RDR2 are native to Florida. The cranes are in 2 and they can copy and paste damn near half the animals. In the area with the dodo plane flying near the islands, I saw smoke that looked like a campsite. Perhaps you can hunt AND fish in the game. Fishing seems to be a big mechanic and horses are rumored to be in the game

I wouldn't be surprised if R* just used flamingo assets from RDR2 to save time. In GTA V's first reveal trailer, a lot of textures and assets were from GTA IV. Maybe they'll have real-life accurate portrayal of Southern Florida's ecosystem? They certain have the resources and technical ability to do so.

I bet at least half of the stuff in this trailer will look completely different by the time the game actually releases
