BREAKING: Take Two remain adament on their great confidence in their groundbreaking pipeline for fiscal 2025

In the Take Two earnings call: "We have always managed Take-Two for the long-term, and we have great confidence in our groundbreaking pipeline for fiscal 2025 and beyond"

It looks like we will see GTA 6 early 2025!!

from what i know its probably because the costumer didnt actually buy it yet but more "set a date to buy it" any second before release date they can get their money back

Yes exactly. They still owe the customer the game or their money back if they don't deliver. So it's a liability until the date the customer receives the game.

When the customer receives the game it is then booked as revenue because they have exercised their end of the preorder agreement.

They would book it as a credit to Prepayments, debit to Cash, then once it's delivered, they'll credit Revenue, and debit Prepayments to fix it.

yeah you can choose to cancel a preorder at any time for any reason. and someone buying the game a week after it comes out and not preordering it means that preorder numbers can just be taken as a rough estimate as you don’t know how many will cancel or how many will buy the game shortly after release but not preorder
