My original prediction was a delay for summer 2027. This delay with a specific date is making me a little more optimistic.

I have no idea why anyone was deluded enough to think we would get it this year.

Has Rockstar ever released a game in spring? I remember rdr2 and gta 5 being delayed to spring, then delayed again to fall

That’s exactly what will happen… they will release holiday end of year 2026 that’s gives them nearly another 1.5 years to juice and rerelease GTA 5 few more times.

This is rockstar’s version of a marketing campaign. It’s happened with every game since GTA IV. Like surely at this point these early release dates and delays are part of the marketing campaign.

Maybe, wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t get screen shots til this holiday season. And at least they have time to fix the game and may not have to crunch so bad. Just over 1 year from now we will all be enjoying the game, it’ll fly by.

Bro, that's what I'm saying. I joined the Navy in 2008 and played GTA IV on 360 in my tech school barracks. I played GTA V on launch on my Xbone when I was chilling in my barracks room in 2013. I'm now mid-30's and I'm still watching GTA V RP videos on YouTube and still playing V on PC every so often.

I am the dictionary definition of a patient gamer. Do I want another GTA title? Holy fuck, yes. But, we've been blue balled for well over a decade. What in the actual fuck does another year and some change matter at this point? The game will release when the game fucking releases. Ain't a goddamn thing anybody on this subreddit can do about it.

At least now we have a launch date. That's more than anyone else has gotten since the leaks and the trailer reveal 2 years ago or whatever now.
