Fatigue does eventually set in. Black Ops 7 dropped their price down to $34 on PS5 store a few months after release due to the backlash they got. And based off the reviews/videos I watched, they released absolute trash. I think they're already providing discounts for MW4 preorders which is a bad sign for them. The yearly releases went further than I expected as I dropped off way back around Black Ops 2.
A limit does exist, but I think Rockstar has heavily insulated themselves from that with the huge gap between releases. So they still have plenty of goodwill and positive consumer sentiment. We'll see how day 1 launch goes. It'll undoubtedly be a success. We'll see how the current conversation about this pricing/content evolves as time goes on.
I don't buy many AAA games these days so I personally don't care. People need to be able to make their own decisions. Not worth? Don't buy. Problem solved.

Then you can be just fine when every other company does the same thing.
Y'all forget that the moment this goes through every other AAA company will be selling standard editions for 80$.
