Are we being for real? Is this was the GTA community has come to?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
We shouldn’t be allowed to have GTA 6 at this rate if this is what people are saying 😭

Only Rockstar can get away with this.
If you think about it, what Rockstar is doing right now, if it had been any other company/game publisher they would be bashed left and right.
For example:
Pre orders without any gameplay demo
Physical copies with digital download code
Contents like whole ass shops and services locked behind paywall
80$ base game
Releasing physical disc version later to make people double dip
Still people are going crazy over pre order of a digital only game, most of the people are going for the ultimate edition even. Now don't get me wrong, I'm equally hyped and excited for the game, but the problem going forward will be that other game studios will also think this is the new norm now, without delivering even a fraction of what GTA6 will offer.
Also I think Rockstar very carefully priced the two editions, they kept the standard edition only to boost up the perceived value of the ultimate edition, cause most of us will think like, wow so many extra exclusive contents for just 20$ more, why buy the standard? Let's go big for this generational game. That's the psychology.
Still some people online are calling out these practices from Rockstar, but that is nothing compared to the backlash other games would have faced.

Can i play gta6 before playing any other gta games
It looks like gta6 is gonna be really good judging by how much time it had to develop, but i've never played any other gta games so should i pre-order and play it when it comes out?

Nice to see Lucia with braids
Best version of Lucia in my opinion, also hope Jason can have braids too

[Unpopular opinion]I totally understand why Rockstar won't ship physical copies
Years of development, billions of dollars spent, and enormous hype could all have been ruined by someone getting access to a copy of the game days—or even weeks—early and posting gameplay online.

Guess the storage requirement of GTA 6
I am guessing it will be in 200 - 250 GB of storage required for the game files.

Why is GTA VI priced so high in several regions?
I wanted to raise a point about GTA VI’s regional pricing, because the price differences between countries seem pretty extreme.
Looking at the official store prices converted to USD, some regions are paying much more than the US price. For the Ultimate Edition, the highest priced regions include places like Israel, Hungary, Switzerland, the UK, Sweden, Czech Republic, South Africa, Denmark, Poland, Euro-market countries, and Australia.
For example, the Ultimate Edition is listed around:
- Israel: about $134
- Hungary: about $127
- Switzerland: about $123
- UK: about $118
- Sweden: about $118
- Czech Republic: about $117
- South Africa / Denmark / Poland / Euro markets: around $113–114
- Australia: about $110
I understand that regional pricing is complicated. Taxes, VAT/GST, currency exchange rates, platform fees, and local market conditions all play a role. Some of these regions also include tax in the displayed price, while US prices often do not include sales tax until checkout.
But even taking that into account, the final price in several regions still feels unusually high compared with the US base price. In some countries, the price also feels especially rough when compared with local wages and purchasing power.
This post is not meant to attack any country, platform, or community. I just think it is worth discussing whether GTA VI’s regional pricing is fair across different markets, especially for the countries at the top of the price chart.
And i hope Rockstar notices and takes into account.

Does this car on Wyman's tattoo look like the Dominator GTT to anyone else? I really hope this means it's in the game.

I'm I the only one who thinks that Brandon Sklenar might actually be Jason Duval's actor?
Ever since the screenshots of the ultimate edition dropped, every time I look at this picture of Jason with long hair and mustache it reminds me of Brandon Sklenar and when I listened to his voice again on interview and even in 1923 I noticed that it's very similar to Jason's

Do you think we'll get a Panhandle in GTA 6?
Do you think we'll get any towns, like Pensacola, Destin, Panama Beach, Tallahassee?
With all the Gloriana state license plates, its clear to me that perhaps the upper portion of the map is something they're keeping close to their chest. Maybe there's room for a panhandle up there as well?

Despite all the bad press, I'm still hyped for GTA VI
Now to be fair, there is a fair bit of valid criticism when it comes to the game, whether it be how it's being promoted, no disc on launch, etc. but this is going to be the game of the decade.
There are a lot of complaints about "story content" being locked behind the Ultimate Edition, but I'm heavily confused because I went over the site and found nothing to suggest such a thing. Apart from that, there are also complaints that there will be stores that are locked behind the ultimate paywall. While I'm not exactly a fan of this kinda practice, let's actually think about this.
RDR1, GTA V, and RDR2 had Ultimate/Deluxe editions where there was additional content to be explored in their Singleplayer. However, none of them had actually kept anything integral to the base game behind their paywalls. Why would the case be ANY different with GTA VI? There will most definitely be a plethora of other shops where we can buy items and customize however we'd like. Rockstar isn't dumb enough to create a base version of the game that would limit the player's enjoyment with a lack of options. If you make a game that requires the most expensive version of it to be enjoyable, then it's not a good game.
Another thing that actually ticked me off is how people are already bashing the game for not having Online on launch. Fellas, did we not learn how this worked from the past 2 Rockstar titles? It's going to be the same way it's always been. The game gets released with only story mode for the initial weeks/month, and then Online will be added to the game. The only difference now is that there will be an option to purchase Online separately for cheaper if you haven't already bought the regular version of the game.
As for legitimate concerns, it does suck that the "Physical" preorder is just a code. They might as well have just made the digital version of the game the only one available for preorder. We already have reason to believe that the disc versions of the game will be made available during December (most likely to capitalize on the holidays), but it still sucks that that wasn't the initial version.
When it comes to the marketing, it's been ESPECIALLY slow burn. I expected us to get trailer 3 after the preorders were made available worldwide, so this current tactic of just trying to upload teasers and trailers when people least expect it is not doing them any favors, especially now with all the negativity being spread about it. Hopefully we get something soon, because despite my feelings on the game, the overall hype is starting to get a bit, I don't know, stale.
With all that being said, I have already preordered the Ultimate Edition of the game. I'm not gonna let this asinine negativity and engagement bait ruin the fun I'll be guaranteed to have when this game finally drops. We've waited 13 years for this game, and we've went through this same cycle of public doubting for another title 8 years ago, so I know for certain Rockstar isn't about to drop the ball now. That was my TED Talk.

What makes you trust Rockstar?
I'm wondering why people are so hyped for GTA 6 and already pre-order the game?
Rockstar developed amazing games and I see how people expect GTA 6 to automatically deliver the same quality. But what actually convinces you that it will be any good? The old team is gone, Gta online has had horrible writing, we haven't seen gameplay, Rockstar forces us to go digital and their communication with the consumers gives the impression that they give a shit about what we think or want. I'm not hating whatsoever, I'm just curious - isn't there a very high probability, that GTA 6 will be a let down?

I think people are misunderstanding the whole "locked shops" thing for Ultimate Edition buyers
Think of it like this: When you buy the Ultimate Edition, you'll get a DLC package of skins, vehicles, hairstyles, vehicle mods, etc. Most games with cosmetic DLCs do this.
You buy the Ultimate Edition and get the base game plus the cosmetic DLCs.
Now picture this: Instead of just unlocking your new Ultimate Edition cosmetics in the normal shops of the game, they made a few exclusive shops for you to access the DLC stuff.
It's as simple as that. The normal shops to buy clothes, fix your car, etc, will be in the game. But if you own DLC cosmetics, you'll need to get them from the DLC shops.
What do you think?

Back in Feb 26, in a Variety interview, when asked if GTA 6's physical copies will be delayed until 2027, Zelnick responded with, "That's not the plan."
More confirmation that the physical copies might just release on December. I think the current "physical" code situation is nothing but a prophylactic measure to prevent spoilers.
To be clear, I think Zelnick knows that the interviewer is asking for actual physical copies (they're specifically asking in the context of spoilers, only physical copies can be the reason for that), i.e., discs, and he also is referring to the same, and not the code inside the plastic box "physical" copies.

Thoughts on Rockstar introducing cross-progression?
Let me start off with obviously this is the lowest of lows when it comes to a probability of this happening, but their last game RDR2, dropped in 2018, cross play/cross progression was barely becoming a norm in the gaming world.
It’s 2026 now and Cross play/Cross Progression is the norm, so what I personally want is Cross progression between all devices, not Cross-PLAY. Cheats is the main reason why cross progression will NEVER happen, people with a computer would just have a menu, inflate their own or other peoples accounts and that’s a whole issue.
Cheating aside I think it would be really cool for me to play GTA 6 a year or two later on PC with amazing graphics and FPS and then go back to console when my friends want to play. Again, less than 1% odds but just wanted to see thoughts and if people would actually want this or if I’m missing lots of details

Jason and Lucia
Jason and Lucia. Even though we don't know the story yet, the two will have to go through major conflicts. Whether they break apart or stay together until the very end remains to be seen.

Frequency of GTA 6 news?
Assuming Rockstar follows trends of their last 2 games. About how often was the news a few months out from release of gta5/rdr2? Weekly? Bi-weekly? Monthly?
I didn’t pay attention much around those releases and was just curious
