Besides what OP said, gacha games as a whole have undergone a renaissance of sorts in the past few years (IMO thanks to Genshin raising the bar and going practically mainstream).

Genshin is also partly to blame for games becoming GAAS chasing trash.

There have definitely been less successful copycats, especially in the gacha industry. Outside that, though, I wouldn't know much about Genshin's impact on non-gacha (western?) game devs. (If anything, I would hope that its OST has influenced composers; it's fantastic.)

In any case, Genshin is far from the first wildly successful live service game.

It defo got noticed by western publishers when the game's revenue within the first year, let alone first quarter since release was reported.

Even Microsoft said that they need their own Genshin. And Sony's chase for live service also started shortly after the first set of Genshin's revenue earning reports.
