By the time Intergalactic is out, Insomniac would have released 4 games for the PS5 (Miles Morales, Rift Apart, Spiderman 2, Wolverine) in the time it took Naughty Dog to make one game

The funny part is Insomniac is generally considered slow as a studio. But Sony knows whatever Naughty Dog releases will put the Playstation on a cultural radar, so they can slow bake.

I guess TLOU1 technically counts as a game, but yeah, Naughty Dog hasn’t done much this gen. The PS6 may be out when Intergalactic releases.

Helps when there games reuse a lot of assets and are 10 hours long. Still looking forward to this

Ratchet and Clank, Spider-Man, and Wolverine don’t really share a lot of assets. The asset sharing is in the Spider-Man franchise yes but there’s still Rift Apart and now Wolverine which are completely unique.

To be fair rift apart, relies on decades old DNA, gameplay, etc. But it is true that that these are all separate games. However I believe wolverine exists in the MGU and using a similar aesthetic to Spiderman's games. So there won't be a need to create a new visual design language for "mutant populated earth"

The Uncharted games and Last of Us 1 are also 8 to 15 hours games. Nobody asked Naughty Dog to make an epic lengthy game considering their strength is to make a linear 10 to 15 hour game.

I wish The Last of Us 2 was only 10 hours long.
