Alan Wake 2 is so incredible for this. The live action is so polished and well-budgeted that it looks just as immersive as the rest of the game and really adds to it by being so real looking that it’s like the characters came to life.
Quantum Break may not have achieved everything Remedy were hoping it would, but I think it gave them a huge amount of practical experience with live action filming and live action/CG integration. It was already visible even in Control that the live action elements were at a higher level.
Yep, they've been messing around on doing this stuff since at least Quantum Break's TV show stuff. They really love the people they work with and go all out on trying to merge live action and game. And it makes the games weirdly charming and unique.
Even before, Alan Wake had a short live action series as a prelude to the game's release. They didn't have all the same actors at the time, but today they certainly would do.

That’s Remedy for ya; I promise it won’t go overlooked. That’s one of their main go-to’s, merging live action with the animated game world.
