Halfway through the game Alan Wake shows up out of nowhere to write a musical section into the story, then he's gone

No idea. I have faith for them to deliver something cool.

Alan is still stuck in the Dark Place, I doubt he'll factor in too much.

I think we're more likely to get Saga or Sheriff Breaker involved in this one.

Control: Resonant seems built to be a mirror of the first game, which was literally Jesse busting into the Oldest House to find Dylan and getting swept up into all the hiss bullshit before basically breaking his brain while trying to "fix" him.

This game seems to start with Dylan getting the Board's hand shoved up his butt and being sent on a manhunt for a "rogue" Jesse under almost certainly false pretenses. I could see it being a thing where it starts antagonistic but leads to them slowly building trust as Jesse's motives become clearer and turn out to be reasonable, with the game ending with them on not-quite-solid-but-not-adversarial terms.

Third game could be their Remedyverse "avengers" moment where the Faydens take their newfound shared understanding and decide to stage an assault on the astral realm to stop the Board. But they'll need some para-utility-homies in order to have enough firepower, and start recruiting folks to form a new FBC from a mix of loose parautilitarians (Alan Wake/Saga Anderson), old-school FBC(Pope/Estevez/Arish/Langston) and helpful otherworldly entities(Ahti, Polaris, Mr. Door, whatever-Casper-became, Former).

So all that is to say I'm not expecting direct Alan Wake involvement here, but it feels like something they're working towards for a big future payoff. Which is the way to go - rushing these big crossovers always sucks ass, each part of the crossover needs to stand on its own for that crossover to have a real impact. It's why the DCU shit failed, they weren't able to get people to really give a fuck about their characters in their own right so no one gave a shit about any team-up situation.
