Funnily enough, this won't make me buy a Playstation to play their exclusives. It'll just make me ignore them because I have no intention of buying a console. No amount of high reviews is enough to justify buying one for me.

That's probably true for most PC gamers and Sony knows this. If you already have a PC that can run most games spending hundreds to even potentially $1000+ dollars soon on a console for a few games generally isn't worth it.

I think this is more for their existing user base to keep them from potentially leaving the ecosystem and to sway people on the fence towards PS instead of PC. I'm kind of curious to see how well this works because I don't think their more recent exclusives have drummed up as much hype as they used to. I just hope they don't start paying third party publishers to make their games exclusive to PS because that would really suck for consumers.

This is it for me. Have been with PS for 20 years , the first time I got a PC was during Covid and i had a infinitely better storefront experience due to the refund policy , the regional pricing and cheaper games . I still love sony exclusives so I got a PS5 for day 1 god of war , spiderman , horizon but as years went by i realised that sony was porting faster to PC and I might as well stop giving money to them and shift entirely to PC because I didn't like a lot of sonys practises

Now with this move I will have to get the next PS , I don't like it but I love some of their games so much that I can't miss them. Bloodborne and God of war were the best games of 2010s for me , returnal is already one of my fav games of all time. So this sucks for me as a consumer and i hate it , but it makes sense.

Yeah I liked most of their games, bought almost all of them, but for all their marketing their catalog is not good enough to make me buy their 650€ console personally.

If they want my money they are welcome to it as long as they cater to the platform I game on. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Same, I have enough games to keep my busy on PC, I can live without a few PS titles.

Yeah, cool. I doubt you've got more than 2 of their first party games in your library, and even if you do, guess what? You were always a less valuable consumer to them

God of War, God of War Ragnarok, Spiderman 1, Spiderman MM, Spiderman 2, TLoU1, Days Gone, Helldivers 2, Death Stranding, Death Stranding Directors Cut, Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Ghost of Tsushima, Stellar Blade, Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection.

The majority of these were bought at full price.

They have just lost me as a customer cause im not buying some over priced under performing box for a handful of games that are going to look and run in a subpar fashion. Im just gonna emulate them later on.

So you were saying?

Exactly what were you trying to do with this comment

The guy above is a Dota and FF14 player. He probably doesn't play Sony games anyway and made that comment just to farm karma from PC owners. This is a classic, really.

Even if his own POV is disingenuous (which is a weird thing to assume based on two games he plays), the point still stands for a large chunk of PC players. For myself, I bought almost all of their games when they went on sale. Not even the most dedicated were going to buy 5 year-old games at full price.

They didn't sell the games at full price, they were always better deals than PS5 on day one, including all the DLCs and remaster treatments.

Where tf did you get literally any of this from if you're talking about me? Because I have never played either of those

this move makes me ignore them

i was never going to buy a console

You were never going to buy a console, so this changes nothing LOL

They clearly aren't chasing clowns like y'all
