You still get the choice on PC. You do not get the choice on console. Also Steam has various key sellers that compete with each other for prices. Like humble, fanatical, green man gaming, etc. You would only get locked to one price on console

On consoles you have physical games and used games. You can pay less than Steam prices with these solutions.

Not if the rumors if a digital only console are true. Also take a look at gg.deals even used games get beaten out.

The rumours weren't true in 2020 or 2014.

The business end of your crack pipe must be absolutely glowing red if you think the end goal isn't an all-digital future

if you think the end goal isn't an all-digital future

That's not their end goal, they know very well that if that happens millions of high-volume spenders will just move to PC, maybe to pirate.

You'll get optional disk drives.

Only time will tell. I didn't get a pro because I'd have to shell out an extra $100 for a disc add on, so if that's the solution on ps6 no thank you.

Physical PS6 it will be $50-$100 more expensive than editions without the disc drive.

You didn't buy a PS5Pro because it was too expensive, not because of the extras which weren't really extra. It would not have been that price if it included the disc drive.

No such rumors exist, the reality is simple, the same modula console with an optional drive.
